Adsense - A contextual network
A contextual network is a type of advertising and if you are a publisher, then you can earn a descent amount of money through contextual advertisement. In a contextual advertising, you need to put the code of the contextual network advertiser and ads will be displayed in your website according to the contents of your website. If your visitors click to the ads, then you will get bucks for the click. This is a very simple principle and it is just like revenue sharing with the contextual network. Adsense is the most successful contextual network.
There are many contextual networks and Google Adsense is one of the most successful one for both the advertisers and the publishers. I have tried many other contextual networks but most of the contextual networks display irrelevant ads and therefore there will be fewer clicks with the percentage of page impression. Most of the people would say, there is nothing to do with contextual advertising and you just need to install the code in your website and you will start earning. But it is not that easy as people thought and if you want to start earning through Google Adsense, then you must perform keywords analysis and other optimization of your website according to the keywords.
