How frequently does Google update the Page Rank?

In the starting, every webmaster waits for the next Google update because it is in this first Google update that their websites are supposed to gain some PR (Page Rank). It is a very common question in most of the webmaster forums and discussion boards how frequently Google updates the Page Rank (PR) of the websites. Well, in the past Google used to update the PR of the websites after every three months but nowadays Google is more active in the PR update but in a strict sense.

In the past, Google follows some algorithm for Page Rank which is known to all and they regularly update the PR of the website. But nowadays you cannot expect the change of the PR of your website only after three months because nowadays Google continuously check the PR of the website. They can degrade the PR of your website any time but the original PR update happens only after every three months. Therefore, you can lose the PR of your website any time but can gain the PR only after three months of the last update.
